The shop is situated in the village of Polgooth just approx 3 miles from Heligan Gardens.
The shop was once a general store which served the local villagers and the miners who once worked in the tin mines of Polgooth. Engine houses from the busy mining days can still be found in the village and surrounding area.
Although the shop ceased selling provisions in the 1980s coal and logs can be bought in the shop as well as the fine China etc.
This interesting shop still has it original shop fittings.
Step back in time, it’s worth a visit.
